6.0.2 Share Split/Consolidation and Conversion Operations (CA Category)

a. On the "Corporate Actions" page, click "New" to add a corporate action.

b. Select "Create Manually": choose the Announcement Type (refer to 5.1 Announcement Types: CA (Corporate Action) / Underlying (Stock Code) / enter an Announcement Number (must be unique) / select Ex-Date or Record Date), then click "Confirm".

Quick Create: only applicable if a CCNAN05 file has been imported.

c. After addition is complete, the item will display on the main interface. Click "Details" in the Actions column to fill in the information.

d. In the "Announcement Information" section, click "Edit"; fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. After completing the inputs, click "Confirm".

  • Payment Date: the system accounting date (can be viewed on the Clearing Management > End-of-Day Tasks page; the accounting date shown below is February 2).

e. In the "Scheme Information" section, click "Edit" to modify the share conversion details.

f. On the "Edit Scheme" page, fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. The default scheme is set to "Yes". After completing the inputs, click "Confirm".

  • Scheme Type: "CA-Share Conversion" denotes share conversion.
  • Distributed Security: the stock code to be distributed.

For example: every ten shares are converted into one share.

  • Ratio (Old): Enter "10"
  • Ratio (New): Enter "1"

g. Required fields for different CA announcement types are listed below:

Note* CA - Share Conversion, CA - Share Consolidation, and CA - Share Subdivision/Splitting require the same input fields and follow the same operational procedure.

(i). Type:

CA - Share Conversion

  • Distributed Security (stock code to be distributed)

For example: every four shares are converted into one share.

  • Ratio (Old): Enter "4"
  • Ratio (New): Enter "1"

(ii). Scheme Type:

CA - Share Consolidation

  • Distributed Security (stock code to be distributed)

For example: every four shares are consolidated into one share.

  • Ratio (Old): Enter "4"
  • Ratio (New): Enter "1"

(iii). Scheme Type:

CA - Share Subdivision/Splitting

  • Distributed Security (stock code to be distributed)

For example: every four shares are split into one share.

  • Ratio (Old): Enter "4"
  • Ratio (New): Enter "1"

h. In the "Fee Rules" section, view the fees to be charged. To modify the fees as a one-time change, click "Edit".

After completing modifications, click "Confirm".

i. If the Announcement Information, Scheme Information, and Fee Rules are correct, click "Register" and then "Confirm" to submit the registration.

j. After "Registration" succeeds, the transferred shares will be displayed in the "Summary Details" section. If the share counts differ, click "Rounding Adjustment" to modify the distribution quantity.

k. In the "Customer Details" section, eligible recipients are listed. Click "Add": to add individual customers to the distribution list; Click "Void": to remove customers; Click "Details": to modify an individual customer's fee information or the transferred entitlement quantity.

l. If any data has been modified, click "Re-register" to refresh the information. After confirming the information is correct, click "Submit for Execution" to proceed to the next step.

m. After confirming the total number of distributed shares and the total fees charged, click "Submit for Execution".

n. Review personnel can click "Download Report SDR040-11" and select the PDF file, then view the details of this corporate action in Reports Management > Export List. If the information is correct, click "Execute Review".

o. Click "Approve". If selected, the app will send a push notification.

p. The status will update to "Execution Successful".

q. Transaction records can be reviewed under Assets Account > Account Details > Stocks to view the transaction history.
