15.1 Approval Workflow Configuration

15.1A Q: How do I set the approvers for a work order?

Answer: Specify the relevant user account(s) as approvers. Please refer to the following steps.

(i). In the securities backend, click 'Identity Management' at the top right.

(ii). On the 'Identity Management > Approval Workflow Configuration' page, categorize work orders by business and click 'Configure'. Additionally, you can set the 'Default Approval Flow Configuration' to route work orders to designated default approvers.

(iii). Set the approval type and approvers: select 'Person' or 'Role'; multiple persons and roles are supported.

(iv). You can configure multi-level approval steps; after approval at one level, the process automatically advances to the next level until completion. You may also add 'CC' recipients.

Click 'Save' after completing the configuration.

15.1B Q: Why are approval work orders being routed to the super administrator account?

Answer: You need to set the approvers for work orders first. Click the gear icon at the top right of the system, then navigate to 'Identity Management > Approval Workflow Configuration > Default Approval Flow Configuration' to add approvers. After that, work orders will be routed to the designated users (see Figures 15.1B-1 and 15.1B-2).Approvers can be added by 'Role' or 'Person' account (see Figure 15.1B-3). After configuration is complete, you may submit new work orders to be processed by the newly assigned approver(s).
