11. Broker Management Issues

11. Broker Management Questions

11A Q: How do I create a broker?

A: This is a two-step process: 1. Create a team; 2. Configure the broker.

Create a Team

"Team Management" is used to distinguish different groups of brokers. A team contains brokers, and each broker must be assigned to at least one team. To differentiate users, classify them into different teams. Members who are not part of the same team cannot view the customers belonging to that team.

(i). On the Broker Management > Teams and Brokers > Team Management page, click "Add"

(ii). Set the team ID (cannot be changed after confirmation), team name, team type, and remarks (remarks optional). After completing the fields, click "OK".

(iii). Existing teams can be viewed in detail, edited, or frozen.

Configure the Broker

Each broker must be assigned to a team. On the Broker Management page you can create, view details, edit, and freeze brokers.

(i). Create a broker: click "Create"

(ii). Set the broker account (cannot be changed after confirmation), affiliated team, license number, etc. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Click "+" to add a group package.

11B Q: How do I configure a broker's commission package?

A: Please follow the steps below:

(i). On Broker Management > Commission Management > Commission Package Configuration, click "New"

(ii). Commission package name: set as desired

  • Example: 70% commission to the broker, 30% to the company
  • Package name: AE 70%; CO 30%;
  • Select recipient: Broker;
  • Allow losses: indicates that if the commission is insufficient to pay the broker, rebates will continue to be calculated according to this setting (e.g., odd‑lot trades); then select market, buy/sell direction, calculation method, rate, and currency.

(iii). Return to the Broker Management page, select the package, then click "Confirm".

11C Q: How do I change a broker?

A: If a broker has left or needs to be replaced:

(i). On the Broker Management > Relationship Management page, select the broker/client, then check the Client ID(s) (multiple selectable), and click "Transfer to another broker"

(ii). Select the broker to assign, then click "OK".

11D Q: Can a broker ID be modified?

A: After creation, the broker ID cannot be modified via "Edit" (see 11D Figure 1). You may choose to "Freeze" the broker (see 11D Figure 2), or modify the email address to free up that email for re-creation.

11F Q: In the commission package configuration, when "New Stock" calculation method is set to "Total Commission," which fee does it correspond to?

A: It corresponds to the brokerage commission charged for new share subscriptions. On the Business Parameter Settings > New Stock Configuration > Fee Management page, edit "Brokerage Commission" (see 11F Figure 1), or on the IPO Subscription > Details page create the rate in Basic Information (see 11F Figure 2).
